All Age Camp
Please join us for all family camp beginning the afternoon of Saturday, September 2, 2017. There will be camping, fellowship, games, canoeing, hiking, campfires, music and an ice cream social on Saturday night! Come...Camp and enjoy fellowship with your brothers and sisters from throughout the district!
(Please note, there is no special programming or speakers for this weekend.)

8 - 9 Breakfast
10:30 Worship with Ivester Congregation @ camp (No Worship at Ivester)
Noon - Lunch (Ivester NYC Youth Fundraiser)
1 - 5 - Canoeing, Fishing, Hiking, Board Games, Fellowship, Alone time, etc.
5 - Supper and Closing Circle
You may stay overnight Sunday into Monday however no programming will be planned, please clean your area when you leave camp
Community Picnic at Ivester will be Saturday, September 16 at 5 p.m. Meat and drink provided. Bring lawn chairs, food to share and invite friends. We will play bingo and have a movie. We are continuing to celebrate our 150 years as a church.
World Communion Sunday, October 1
Please join our celebration of World Communion Sunday.
Service will start upstairs at 10:30 am.
We will move downstairs for foot washing and meal.
Food will be provided. Vegetarian choices will be available.
CROP Walk is September 24th. Registration is at 1:45 p.m. with the walk starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Grundy Center High school. Walk packets can be picked up at the church.

Food Resource Bank Benefit Concert
“5 for One” will be singing for a Foods Resource Bank Benefit Concert at the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th. Tentative plans are that it will be a freewill offering concert with dessert and drinks to enjoy while you listen to their message in song. Please reserve this date and plan to attend!
Piecing Together Our Lives and Comforters to Share
What: A special fall two-day retreat for women of all ages (attend one or both days)
Where: Camp Pine Lake, Eldora, Iowa (sponsored by the Nurture & Witness Commissions of the Northern Plains District of the Church of the Brethren)
When: Friday October 20 (Arrive any time after 1:00p with the first meal at 6:30p) thru Saturday October 21 (Closing devotions at 3:00 so people can leave if they need to. Others may work longer and share a light meal later in the afternoon.)
Feeding our spirits: devotions, journaling, hiking, private Bible study, discussion
Group activities: cutting, sewing, tying, knitting, crocheting to make comforters for Church World Service 60x80 (sent to refugees and disaster areas) and smaller blankets 36x36 and 45x60 (for Hardin County Police to give to children as needed)
What to bring with you: Bible, bedding, towel, toiletries, flashlight, a snack to share.
For the comforter and blanket making: donations of any of the following would be welcome; clean gently used bed pads, sheets, flannel blankets, scraps of cotton fabric suitable for quilting, 4ply yarn.
Equipment you might bring: sewing machine, rotary cutter and mat, knitting needles and crochet hooks to fit 4 ply yarn.
Cost: suggested donation of $17 for overnight camp stay and $5 per meal, payable upon arrival.
